Yamaha FSX5 Red Label
The "Red Label" name harkens back to the 1960s, when Yamaha acoustic guitars with the "Nippon Gakki" red label became popular with folk musicians. This guitar takes the style and design philosophy of those classic Yamahas and modernizes it. Like the classic Red Label guitars, this instrument was built in Japan and features a Sitka Spruce top with solid Mahogany back and sides. It also sports open-gear tuners, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a hardshell case. Modern upgrades included torrefaction for the Spruce top, creating a matured, broken-in sound right out of the factory, and Yamaha's new Atmosfeel pickup system - a substantial upgrade over standard piezo systems.
