Based on Yamaha's classic folk guitars, The FG5 Red Label features a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Mahogany back and sides. These woods, paired with Yamaha's dreadnought body shape, produce a warm, down-to-earth tone that sounds wonderful for strumming, flatpicking, and folk music. Made in Japan, the FG5 features Yamaha's Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E) system, a torrefaction treatment applied to its spruce top, which matures the guitar's tone by simulating the tone of a vintage spruce top. A hardshell case and Yamaha's impeccable build quality ensure that this guitar will stand the test of time and remain a great workhorse for decades to come!
