Slingerland Maybell 24 Banjolele
This banjo-ukulele hybrid is a classic piece of Americana! Made some time in the 1920s, this cute little instrument was designed for the ragtime music which was popular in that era. Featuring a soprano ukulele scale length, the Maybell uses ukulele strings and tuning, but provides some of the timbre and volume of a banjo. This produces a surprisingly powerful sound for such a small instrument. With the exception of some minor cosmetic defects (see photos), including those at the neck joint and headstock, this instrument is in great shape, and includes all the original hardware, head, and bridge.
